Patients usually incur costs during their participation in clinical trials such as travel expenses, food and much more. In most cases, the current reimbursement is a manual tracking process where participants are required to submit the receipts and trial teams process the payment and are reimbursed by the trial sponsors. This is currently a time-consuming administrative burden to sites (between 6-18 months) taking away time which would otherwise be utilized for additional patient care.

The platform will ensure payment is being processed in an accurate and timely manner. It will replace current manual processing with just a few clicks and within 24 hours. The platform will be smartphone-compatible and easy to use in multiple languages to allow better engagement of clinical trial participants with their respective sites. The benefits of personalisation of clinical trial oversight will provide clear and immediate value for clinical trial centres and sponsors.

Additionally, the platform will be a document repository for clinical trial information and a training portal. Recruitment and retention of participants in clinical trials are challenging and a simple communication platform can add value.

Our success is measured through metrics demonstrating the time taken for reimbursement, overall trial compliance and participant retention. We also aim to evaluate the benefits through the additional capacity by saving time on administrative tasks for trial resulting in economic benefit to the site.
